Did you know that “Hello, world” refers to computer programs? Typically, getting a computer program to print “Hello, world!” is one of the first steps in learning a new code, since it is a simple task.

Because of this, WordPress always includes a “Hello, world!” blog post as the first post on a freshly installed site. Most people just delete that post, but I’m going to keep it.

I actually come from a programming background. Well, design, programming, and marketing. I have a very techy life, which is one of the reasons I enjoy writing science fiction. I’m also married to a scientist, so I have to hear about a lot of real science.

This site isn’t necessarily “new,” I just reworked it alongside my rebrand, and to be able to include more project information. As part of that redesign, I’m going to make it a point to update my blog more often (I’m even working on a shiny new content schedule, although it may take me a bit to pick up steam and write consistently, especially with my current work schedule).

As far as my projects go, I’m getting ready to query agents for the first book in The Travelers Alliance: The Girl Between The Worlds. I’m deep into the planning process for another book series: The Broken Guardians. And I’m incredibly excited about both.

Please be sure to subscribe to my email newsletter (if you’re not already), as I’ll be updating that more often as well, and I intend to do giveaways and other great things for my subscribers.

I’m looking forward to writing more posts.
